Garage projects look simple from the outside, but the work involves anchoring heavy loads into framing, working at height with overhead racks, applying chemical floor coatings, and operating power tools in your home. We treat each of those as a real safety scenario and have documented standards for all of it.

Licensed General Contractor

Total Garage LLC holds active general contractor licenses in both North Carolina and South Carolina. Our license numbers are available on request and are filed with every quote.

Fully Insured and Bonded

We carry general liability insurance and workers' compensation coverage on every crew member on site. Certificates of insurance are available before any project starts at no charge.

Trained Installers

Every installer on a Total Garage Charlotte job has been trained on the specific systems we install: cabinetry anchoring, overhead rack structural mounting, slatwall load distribution, and floor coating chemical handling.

Anchoring Standards

Overhead racks are anchored into structural framing, never into drywall or unsupported sheathing. Slatwall panels are mounted with structural fasteners on documented stud spacing. Cabinetry is anchored consistent with manufacturer specifications and load ratings.

Floor Coating Safety

Polyaspartic and epoxy floor systems are applied with proper ventilation, personal protective equipment, and product-specific cure protocols. We document re-entry timing and drive-on timing for every floor we install.

Site Cleanliness

Can I see proof of insurance before you start?

Yes. We provide a certificate of insurance on request, and many homeowners ask for it as part of routine due diligence. It is part of how we work.

What happens if something is damaged during install?

Our general liability insurance covers any damage to your home that occurs during install. In practice, we have a strong record of clean installs, but the coverage is in place if needed.

Are overhead racks really safe in my garage?

Yes, when installed correctly. We anchor every overhead rack into structural ceiling framing on documented joist spacing, with hardware rated well above the planned load. Improperly installed racks are dangerous; properly installed ones carry thousands of pounds reliably for decades.

Are the floor coating chemicals safe around children and pets?

We use the floor systems with product-specific cure timing. Once the floor has cured to manufacturer specification, the surface is fully inert and safe for normal household use, including children and pets. We document cure timing on every project so you know when re-entry and normal use is safe.
