Quality Garage Floor Coating

A garage floor coating that lasts is mostly about the prep. Most DIY epoxy kits skip the prep, roll a coat onto a dirty slab, and peel within two seasons. Our four-step polyurea system starts with diamond grinding the concrete, then fills cracks and control joints with structural line filler, then bonds a polyurea base coat into the prepped surface, and finishes with a UV-stable polyurea top coat over a full broadcast of decorative chips. The result is a seamless, chemical-resistant, hot-tire-resistant finish that does not yellow under sunlight and does not lift under daily driving.

What Sets Our Coatings Apart

Diamond-Ground Concrete Prep

Before any coating goes down, we diamond grind the slab. Grinding opens the surface profile for a true mechanical bond, removes old paint and prior epoxy, and exposes clean concrete. Skip this step and the coating peels. We never skip it.

Crack and Joint Filling

Cracks, spalls, and control joints are filled with structural line filler before the base coat. The finished floor reads as one seamless surface. No telegraphed cracks, no recurring joint splits.

Polyurea Base and Top Coats

Polyurea outperforms standard epoxy in nearly every metric: faster cure, better chemical resistance, UV stability, hot tire resistance, and adhesion strength. Both our base coat and top coat are polyurea formulations with high solids content.

Full Decorative Chip Broadcast

Chips are broadcast at full coverage across the wet base coat. Eleven blend options including Saddletan, White Granite, Shoreline, Creekbed, Teton Greige, Dolphin Pearl, Marble, Cobalt Blue, Race Day Red, Micro Saddletan, and Micro Marble.

Will Not Yellow Under UV

The polyurea top coat is UV stable. Direct sunlight through an open garage door will not discolor or amber the finish. This is the main difference between our system and budget DIY epoxy, which yellows within months under UV exposure.

Stain and Chemical Resistance

Sealed below the concrete surface, the coating resists oil, gasoline, transmission fluid, brake fluid, and standard household chemicals. Spills wipe up with a rag and a household cleaner. No re-staining, no chemical pitting.

Two-Day Installation

Most installations complete in one to two days on site. Walk-ready in a few hours after the top coat. Vehicle-ready in approximately 24 hours. We will give you exact return-to-service guidance the day of install based on temperature and humidity.

Five-Year Warranty

Our coating system carries a five-year limited warranty against adhesion failure, peeling, and chip loss during normal residential use. We honor the warranty ourselves, locally.

Our Four-Step Coating Process

  1. 1

    Prepared Concrete (Diamond Grinding)

Cracks and seams are filled. The full slab is diamond-ground to smooth the surface and open it for superior adhesion in step two. Grinding dust is vacuum-collected so the air in the garage stays workable.

  2. 2

    Polyurea Base Coat (Primer)

A tinted primer base coat is rolled across the prepped slab. The base coat carries the chip color, locks into the ground concrete, and gives the chips a wet bed to embed into.

  3. 3

    Decorative Chip Broadcast (Full Coverage)

A full layer of decorative chips is broadcast across the wet base. Chips are broadcast for even and full coverage, then excess is scraped and the surface is sanded once cured. Color blends ship from eleven options.

  4. 4

    Polyurea Top Coat (UV-Stable Clear)

The final layer is a high-durability, chemical-resistant, UV-stable polyurea clear coat. This is what protects the chips and locks the system to the slab. The top coat does not discolor over time.

Floor Coating Questions

How long before I can drive on the new floor?
After the polyurea top coat goes down, the floor is walk-ready in a few hours and vehicle-ready in approximately 24 hours. Specific cure timing depends on temperature and humidity at install. We will give you exact return-to-service guidance the day of.
Why does this hold up better than DIY epoxy from a box store?
Two reasons. First, the prep: we diamond-grind the slab to open the concrete pores for a true mechanical bond, where DIY kits roll over an unprepped surface. Second, the chemistry: we use polyurea base and top coats, which outperform standard epoxy on UV stability, hot tire resistance, cure speed, and adhesion strength.
Will the coating yellow in sunlight?
No. The polyurea top coat is UV stable and resists yellowing under direct sunlight. This is the main difference between our system and budget epoxy, which can amber and discolor within months when sun reaches the floor through the garage door.
Can I get a coating installed over an existing epoxy floor?
Almost never directly. We diamond grind the slab to remove the previous coating before installing our system. If your existing coating shows peeling, hot tire pickup, or chemical damage, full removal is the only path to a finish that lasts.
What chip blends are available?
Eleven blends: Saddletan, White Granite, Shoreline, Creekbed, Teton Greige, Dolphin Pearl, Marble, Cobalt Blue, Race Day Red, Micro Saddletan, and Micro Marble. We can match a paint chip or finish sample on larger projects.
Are the chemicals safe around kids and pets?
Yes. Once cured, the polyurea system is inert and safe around kids and pets. We use low VOC materials so install-day fumes are minimal. The garage is fully usable within 24 hours of the top coat going down.
How do I clean a coated garage floor?
A rag and standard household cleaner handle spot cleanups. A pressure washer or wet mop handles full-floor cleaning. The system does not require waxing or sealing. Avoid acid-based cleaners on the surface.
What is the warranty?
Our coating system carries a five-year limited warranty against adhesion failure, peeling, and chip loss during normal residential use. The warranty covers manufacturing and workmanship.
