Privacy Policy

How we collect, use, and protect your information.

Last updated: 2026-08-10

1. Who We Are

This Privacy Policy describes how Total Garage LLC, doing business as Total Garage Charlotte (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects information when you visit garagecharlotte.com or contact us about our services.

If you have any questions about this policy, please email us at [email protected].

2. Information We Collect

Information you give us directly

  • Contact information: name, email address, phone number, service address, and any project details you share through our contact, schedule, or estimate forms.
  • Photos or descriptions you choose to send us to help us quote your project.
  • Communication history: the content of emails, texts, or messages you send us.

Information collected automatically

  • Device and usage data: IP address, browser type, operating system, referring page, pages viewed, and timestamps. Standard server log information.
  • Analytics and advertising measurement: aggregated, de-identified data from Google Analytics 4, and measurement tags from Google Ads and Meta that tell us which ads and pages lead to enquiries (see Cookie Policy). These load on every page. You can block them at any time through your browser settings or the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect for the following purposes only:

  • To respond to your inquiry, schedule an estimate, and provide the services you requested.
  • To send you appointment confirmations, invoices, and service-related communications.
  • To improve our website, troubleshoot issues, and maintain security.
  • To comply with legal obligations and enforce our Terms of Service.

4. How We Share Your Information

We do not sell your personal information. We do not rent, trade, or share it with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

We share information only with the service providers we rely on to operate the business, and only to the extent needed to do their job: hosting, email delivery (e.g., SendGrid), Google Analytics 4 (only after consent), and payment processors (we never see or store your full card number).

We may also disclose information when required by law or to protect the rights, property, or safety of our company, our customers, or others.

5. Data Retention

We retain personal information only as long as reasonably necessary. Contact-form inquiries that do not become customers are deleted within 24 months. Customer records are retained for the life of the service relationship plus seven (7) years for tax, warranty, and accounting purposes, unless a longer period is required by law.

6. Your Privacy Rights

Depending on where you live, you may have rights under laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act (CCPA), the California Privacy Rights Act (CPRA), and similar state laws:

  • Right to know what personal information we have collected about you.
  • Right to access a copy of the personal information we hold.
  • Right to delete personal information we have collected.
  • Right to correct inaccurate information.
  • Right to opt out of sale or sharing: we do not sell or share personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising.
  • Right to non-discrimination: we will not discriminate against you for exercising any of these rights.

To exercise any of these rights, email [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request.” We will respond within 45 days as required by law.

7. Cookies & Tracking

This website uses a small number of cookies: those strictly necessary to make the site and its forms work, plus analytics and advertising-measurement cookies. We do not currently present a cookie consent banner. You can block or delete any of these cookies at any time through your browser settings. See our Cookie Policy for the full list and step-by-step instructions.

8. Children's Privacy

Our services are directed to adult homeowners. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, please contact us and we will promptly delete it.

9. Security

We use industry-standard technical and organizational safeguards to protect your information including encrypted transport (TLS/HTTPS), access controls, and least-privilege data handling practices. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to reduce risk and notify affected users in the event of a security incident.
